WITSAND NEWS FLASH - Local volunteer crew assisted a boat capsized at The Bar, in the mouth of the Breede River, in rough sea swells and a light westerly wind.
Sea rescue responded by launching the sea rescue craft Falcon Rescuer while Western Cape Government Health Emergency Services also responded to the emergency.
According to Craig Lambinon, Sea Rescue communications officer, it was found upon arrival that the CapeNature patrol boat, Charadon CapeNature, a 7.6 metre rigid inflatable boat, had capsized with two Nature Conservation officers on board.
