WITSAND NEWS - NSRI Witsand Port Beaufort crew observed a 42-year-old man lying behind a vehicle that was parked on the slipway at the sea rescue base on Saturday, 10 March.
Theo Erasmus (NSRI Witsand Port Beaufort station commander) said: “On investigation, bystanders informed us that he is from Cape Town and part of a group of kayakers taking part in a kayak fishing competition.
"He was complaining of an allergic reaction causing him to collapse.”
The man was admitted to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
