NATIONAL NEWS - Eskom has now admitted to paying Gupta-linked company Trillian almost R500 million in consultancy fees.
The utility's new acting chair Zethembe Khoza says while the power utility never entered into a direct contract with Trillian, it was a sub-contractor of McKinsey.
The work done and the contract with McKinsey will now be reviewed.
Eskom has previously denied paying Trillian any money.
But on Wednesday it has been revealed that Trillian was paid almost R500 million while McKinsey raked in R900 million for consultancy work.
The newly appointed acting chair Khoza and acting CEO Johnny Dladla have both been at pains to clarify that Eskom never had a contract with Trillian, only with McKinsey.
