MOTORING NEWS - The Landmark Foundation is undertaking its annual Karoo trip with the learners of Glenwood House as part of a regular environmental awareness programme. The foundation has been working with the school for 13 years through an environmental club that is active and well established at the school.
The foundation is a conservation non-government organisation (NGO) that works with partner companies, the community and individuals. It focuses on species and land conservation, tourism development, development of the local economy and waste recycling, as well as water and wetland conservation and developing renewable energy initiatives.
The Landmark Foundation is registered as a charitable trust and also has a dedicated leopard project that focuses on the Leopard and Predator programme.
Halfway Toyota has been making vehicles available for the Karoo educational trip for some years and sees it as part of their local community outreach programme.
