Update
HESSEQUA NEWS - The wildfire that started late Monday, 7 February, in Gysmanshoek continues to burn. Fire lines, at this stage, are still under thick mist and visibility is very weak.
GRDM senior management team is on site with the following fire crews including: eleven (11) GRDM firefighters, 47 Working on Fire (WoF) members and 10 Cape Nature crew members.
The chopper is on standby in Riversdale.
The GRDM Deputy Fire Chief reported that all lines are looking good with a couple of hot spots prioritised.
There is no danger to any life nor property at this stage. Weather conditions are still favorable.
