Weekend weather: Will the warm weather continue?

GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Garden Route and Karoo have enjoyed warmer weather over the last few days - will it continue over the weekend or is the next cold front on it's way?

In the latest weather forecast from the South African Weather Service, warm weather is set to continue over the next few days.

Here is what you can expect:

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Northern Cape) as well as Cederberg, and Laingsburg municipalities in the Western Cape today and over Beaufort west and Laingsburg municipalities tomorrow.

Advisories

A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the Richtersveld Municipality of the Northern Cape until Friday, 16 May.

Provincial forecast

Western Cape
Morning fog along the south and south-west coast, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in places over the West Coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly
to north-easterly but strong south-easterly in the southwest, moderating by afternoon.

Western half of the Eastern Cape
Morning fog in places along the coast, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light northerly, but easterly during the afternoon.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape
Fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable in places in the south, otherwise light to moderate northeasterly.
