GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - High fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Northern Cape, north-east and extreme north-western parts of the Western Cape as well as the extreme western parts of the Eastern Cape.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Central and Little Karoo today, Wednesday, 22 October.

Extremely uncomfortable conditions are expected over the interior of the Western Cape, including parts of the City of Cape Town.

Western Cape
Fine and hot to very hot but extremely hot in places along the coast, where morning fog can be expected. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.

Western half of the Eastern Cape
Morning fog in places in the south, otherwise fine and hot to very hot, but warm along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, reaching fresh in places.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape
Hot with morning fog in places south of the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly in places in the morning, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly, reaching fresh to strong in places from the afternoon.
