RIVERSDALE NEWS - In the spirit of giving on Mandela Day, the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) municipal health services in Riversdale, in collaboration with Child Welfare South Africa - Riversdale, hosted a heartfelt soup kitchen drive at the offices of Child Welfare.
The event saw a strong turnout from community members, highlighting the area's ongoing need for support and food security.
Warm meals and friendly smiles were shared, creating a sense of togetherness and care.
The GRDM team sincerely thanked the generous local businesses whose contributions made the initiative possible.
These include Riversdal Superspar, JC Slagtery, Savemore Store, All in One Solomon Shop, Cabby’s Family Market, Lexean and Pop Shop.
Special thanks were also directed to the GRDM mayor Andrew Stroebel and mayoral committee member Jobieth Hoogbaard for their active involvement and support of the event.
The Mandela Day initiative served as a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
