HEIDELBERG NEWS - Ancha Adams won silver at the Karate South Africa (KSA) Cape Town League championships that were held on Friday 13 July and Saturday 14 July.
The championships took place at the DF Malan Sports Centre, University of Stellenbosch, hosted by the Karate Association Western Cape (KAWC).
She was again representing the Western Cape province at this prestigious event. She won silver in kumite in the +47 kg, Girls 12-13 years division.
In the final match for the gold medal, when she was catching up on points to her competitor, she slipped on the tatami (mat) and injured her knee again. They hope that her attending the physiotherapy sessions and enough rest will ensure that she is ready for the next tournaments on the karate calendar.
