Update
HESSEQUA NEWS - The wildfire that started late Monday, 7 February, in Gysmanshoek is under control.
All accessible fire lines are under control and mopping-up operations are conducted.
Two fire lines are inaccessible, one in a deep gorge and one high up in the mountain.
GRDM will have two (2) tankers and one (1) skid unit on the lines throughout the night and assistance will be provided by Cape Nature.
No aerial support was needed during the day and no structures are in danger at this stage.
