Saartjie het ons hulp nodig
'n Weldoener het my van Saartjie vertel. Hy voorsien haar van kos en noodsaaklikhede, en het afgespreek dat hy my Maandag, 26 Julie self na haar neem, want sy bly onder 'n boom... Sy is nie oud nie, maar ook nie meer jonk nie. Swaarkry is op haar gesig geëts. Sy het ons verwag, want haar weldoener, wat eendag toevallig op haar afgekom het toe hy met sy hond gaan stap het, het gesê hy gaan koerant toe - dalk kan ons help.
