HEIDELBERG SPORT NEWS -  Siblings Ancha and Aran Adams from the Heidelberg Karate Kyousei dojo did themselves proud at the Karate Kyousei South Africa championships that took place at Stellenberg High School sports hall on Saturday 15 July.

Some of the country's elite karate athletes descended on a sunny Parow, Cape Town, for this championship.

Ancha, currently undergoing rehabilitation for a knee injury, won gold in her kumite division, girls 14-15 years old, under 54 kg. She is currently ranked fourth in her division in Karate South Africa, the only body recognized by SASCOC to govern karate in the country.

Aran won bronze in his kumite division and is making a steady comeback onto the competitive stage. If he continues with his programme, he may soon be called up to the national team to represent South Africa at international events.

The Heidelberg Karate Kyousei dojo is extremely proud of their achievements.
