Zille demands apology from Zuma's spokesperson

NATIONAL NEWS - Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has demanded an apology from the president's spokesperson, Bongani Majola.

The Presidency last week accused Zille of sharing what it called ‘confidential information’ without authorisation.

This following a meeting between the president and premiers.

Zille, and all other premiers, was invited to a meeting with President Jacob Zuma and Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan where budget cuts were discussed.

She subsequently revealed some of those details in her Inside Government newsletter.

Zille’s spokesperson Michael Mpofu says the premier did nothing wrong.
