GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Stage 1 of the Trans Agulhas Challenge (TAC) was completed in Mossel Bay yesterday Thursday, 28 December, at Santos Beach.
Due to the rough sea conditions, the stage was changed to a two-round trip from Plettenberg Bay to Nature Valley and back.
All the participants then drove to Mossel Bay, where they would race to Glentana and then down the coastline back to Santos Beach.
The route was then changed again to a ten-round trip to Dias Beach and back.
Stage winners were Eben de Bod and Gerhard Fernhout in the modified class.
The winners of the blueprint class were Dreyer van Niekerk en JD van Niekerk and the standard class winners were Dylan Bamberger and Carla Engelbrecht.

16:00 Pilots’ Briefing
17:00 Afternoon leg Still Bay area bound long haul 25km (5x 5km laps). Weather permitting.
