BEAUFORT WEST NEWS - Local police are offering a reward to anyone who can assist them with information that might lead to solving a murder investigation that is currently underway, regarding the death of a 14 year old Nelspoort-girl, Lekisha Aliza Wilschut.
Her body was found by a passer-by who was searching for his missing horses on 14 June this year in Nelspoort. Her body was concealed in an old dilapidated building.
Initial reports indicate that the girl was last seen alive at the residence of her parents on 25 May, but was only reported as missing on 28 May.
During the search community members as well as specialised police personnel, inclusive of the K-9 (dog unit search and rescue dog) were mobilised to form part of the search.
An autopsy was conducted where preliminary reports indicate that she was murdered.
No one has been arrested, although all possible clues are being investigated.
They appeal to the public to come forward with any information that may assist in the apprehension and successful prosecution of the perpetrator(s).
