Update
STILBAAI NUUS - Johan Uys, a partially sighted cyclist and Casper Steenkamp will tackle the 40th Cape Town Cycle Tour on Sunday 11 March on a tandem, in aid of ORBIS - Saving Sight.
It will be the first time either of them will compete on a tandem. Uys will be at the back while Steenkamp, who is also driving this campaign, will be at the front of the tandem.
ORBIS is the company that makes sight possible through pediatric eye screening and corrective eye surgery worldwide.
Their aim is to raise as much money as possible for ORBIS (Cycle for Sight) for the tour.
For every Rand donated to them, an equal and opposite crazy reaction will be done by Steenkamp and Uys, for example, when they have reached R1 000, Steenkamp will shave his legs while Uys will do so when they have reached R2 000.
They will even shave their beards and wear tutus at the race.
To see what else they are willing to do and to donate to their plight, visit Uys's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/stilbaaiphysio.
