Oor die jare heen is die Kraaltjie-lanseerplek ’n landmark waarvan baie besoekers en gebruikers van die rivier afhanklik is. Dit is hierdie soort infrastruktuur wat sentraal in Witsand staan om sy aanloklikheid en bekoring te behou sodat toerisme en inwoners gelok kan word. Die Kraaltjie is ’n paar jaar gelede deur Hesequa-munisiplaitiet opgegradeer.
