Veldbrand woed buite Stilbaai
Die veldbrand wat Sondagmiddag, 15 Januarie, op Klipfontein buite die dorp uitgebreek het, het reeds ongeveer 3 000 ha se fynbos en landerye verwoes. Brandweerspanne van Hessequa-munisipaliteit, Eden-Distrikmunisipaliteit, Working on Fire (WoF) en Southern Cape Fire Protection Agency (SCFPA) het met grond- en lugspanne die brand bestry. Meer as 30 brandweerpersoneel was tot laat op die toneel. Volgens inligting van die munisipaliteit is drie huise ontruim en geen beserings is aangemeld nie.
