Hijacker meets his match

NATIONAL NEWS - A criminal met his match this morning (13 October) following a foiled armed hijacking incident in Monument.

The driver of a stationary Elite courier delivery truck was approached by an armed hijacker in the Noordheuwel shopping center’s parking lot at around 9am.

The armed suspect instructed the driver to get out of the vehicle and hand over the keys while pointing a gun to his head.

The hijacker then speed off out of the parking lot not knowing the courier truck was escorted by an unmarked vehicle from Babelela Security who immediately gave chase.
