RIVERSDALE NEWS - The 2025 ASWD Eden Schools Cross Country Championships were held on Saturday 2 August, at Riverville Stadium, drawing athletes from across the region for a day of competitive racing and community spirit.
The official program featured welcoming remarks by Reggie Mitchell and an address by Hessequa Municipality Deputy Mayor, Gerald Boezak.
ASWD President, Joe Arendse, delivered the keynote speech.
The championships featured a full program of age categories, ranging from 8-year-olds to senior men and women.
Medals were presented throughout the day after every set of races, celebrating the outstanding performances of the region’s young and senior athletes.
The event showcased the depth of local talent and strengthened the bond between schools and the athletics community in Hessequa.
