Many community members took hands in order to make a change on Wednesday 18 July.
Councillor Lisby Pieterse and volunteers give their 67 minutes by handing out soup in Ward 9. “Who would think that a simple act of handing out soup would bring so much joy to the faces of those who are on the receiving end of it.” said Pieterse. She found this to be a truly touching encounter, as part of her volunteering program. “It’s a one of a kind humbling moment when you see how many people adults and children stand in line.”
