HESSEQUA NEWS - The municipality received its fourth Clean Audit Report for the 2016/2017 financial year.
Western Cape Minister of Finance, Dr Ivan Meyer with Western Cape Minister of Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Anton Bredell and the Auditor General of South Africa awarded Hessequa Municipality an Audit Excellence Award.
The event took place on Monday 19 February in Cape Town and was attended by Mayor Grant Riddles, Cllr Ben Smith, Municipal Manager Johan Jacobs and CFO Lien Viljoen.
Jacobs said: "The fact that the council stand by its long-term financial plan is a big part of the success."
