The event takes place from Uniondale to Knysna, and attracts riders from across South Africa. The 25th edition has officially received all the necessary permissions to take place on Sunday 27 September.
After months of planning, consultation and collaboration following the devastating floods that affected the Garden Route earlier this year, one of South Africa's most iconic mountain bike events was under threat of cancellation. Jeff Ayliffe travelled to Knysna to meet with the race director Zandile Meneses.
