WESTERN CAPE NEWS - According to a media statement by premier Alan Winde, as of 13:00 on 13 January, the Western Cape has 39 491 active Covid-19 infections with a total of 245 343 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 197 224 recoveries.

- Total deaths - 8 628
- Total active cases (currently infected patients) - 39 491
- Tests conducted - 1 129 702
- Hospitalisations - 3 528 with 384 of these in ICU or high care
Garden Route District:
- Bitou - 2517 cases, 2209 recoveries
- George - 10902 cases, 9680 recoveries
- Hessequa - 1630 cases, 1171 recoveries
- Kannaland - 661 cases, 463 recoveries
- Knysna - 4520 cases, 4069 recoveries
- Mossel Bay - 6751 cases, 5964 recoveries
- Oudtshoorn - 3472 cases, 2841 recoveries
