IEC (Independent Electoral Commission) Acting Regional Supervisor, Nonhlanhla Mbonane said proceedings over the weekend went smoothly.
Official numbers from the first voter registration weekend are expected soon.
Asked for confirmation of a second such weekend, Mrs Mbonane said another opportunity to confirm registration for the Local Government Elections was planned for April 9 and 10.
“Residents can also go to the IEC offices to check their status and register.”
